Specialized Coatings

Unique surfaces, conditions or coatings don’t baffle us. If it can be painted chances are Integrity knows how to paint it!  We'll take great pains to test various products and perform adhesion tests to insure proper product selection and compatibility. We've applied paint (successfully, & made it stick) to metal, brick, gypsum, plaster, stone, concrete, insulation, duct, floors, mansard roofs, gutters/downspouts, flag poles, anodized surfaces, chalk boards, metallics, (super slick) prefinished surfaces... even glass!  And even better yet, in the rare instances where we cannot coat successfully we'll be honest and forthright by either 1. telling you not to paint and/or 2. explaining to you exactly what you can expect (and all your options) if you do chose to.

High performance coatings & applications such as: Fluropolymer, epoxies, polyurethanes, HVLP (high volume low pressure) application, waterborne alkyds, solvent borne acrylics, mineral coatings, moisture cured urethanes, fine finishes and many more.

Warehouse Decking & Barjoist Coating

Ceiling decking & barjoists can be very tricky to coat and experience is critical to a successful job. Integrity employs some of the Chicagoland’s most experienced & efficient spraying professionals who've been doing this type of work for 20+ years. The work is hard/physical (overhead), tedious and time consuming.  With our large workforce & top-of-the-line ('work horse,' highest volume) industrial sprayers (of which Integrity has 20) we are capable of handling huge projects with thousands of gallons. If you need something done in an unreasonable amount of time for a broker Open House then ask Integrity – the very best & fastest around! 

Furthermore, our quality control is second to none.  We regularly test various preparation methods & dryfall products (epoxy ester, alkyd, waterborne, etc.) to ensure proper blocking of yellowing and adhesion.  We've also been asked to help come up with possible solutions where there are inherited problems such as: severely peeling (improperly applied) paint, discoloration bleed-through, oily/greasy surfaces, or rusted decking.  We've seen it all!

Elevated Access Painting

Integrity specializes in all sorts of large scale multi-floor (even 50, 60+) projects of all shapes & sizes. Whether they require suspended scaffolding or traditional ‘bakers’ style scaffolding to reach higher areas we are trained to handle these projects professionally & safely. All personnel using such equipment are trained to meet OSHA (CFR 1910.28) & City requirements.  We also require all swing stage operators to receive classroom training & pass a written exam, complying with all local ordinances. Our ‘competent persons’ are capable of erecting, dismantling, and moving such access equipment. ANSI/SIA standard PPE Fall protection harnesses with shock absorbing lanyards are worn at all times - attached to separately affixed lifelines. Furthermore, we’ve performed countless projects of this magnitude in conjunction with many of the top local AE/Engineering firms (such as WJE, KGH, K&H, etc.).

Fire Escape Repair & Coating

Integrity is well equipped, and specifically experienced to handle the unique challenges that come with Fire Escape work. We can treat rust, scrape/wire brush & paint efficiently & safely. If a client wishes to have a single responsible source & contract, we have iron repair subcontractors (who have 50+ years of experience in FE code requirements) in whom we’ve worked successfully with on many large projects. Also, we’re versed in SSPC standards for steel preparation & have performed FE jobs to varying degrees: SSPC-SP1, SSPC-SP2, SSPC-SP3 & SSPC-SP11. We shroud all our FE projects to insure debris collects at the bottom (instead of circulating around the city), and we install pedestrian canopies where necessary. Additionally we’ve performed above-mentioned work in conjunction with many of the top local AE/Engineers (such as WJE, KGH, K&H, etc.).

Window & Façade Historic Restoration

Integrity is well versed in the handling of aged historic surfaces on vintage buildings via preparation methods & applicable products that are above industry standards. We understand you want to do this work as infrequently as possible so we've made it our mission to solve this riddle. With over 20+ years of painting experience, we've tested, tried & retested until we've come up with products and processes that are proven to last.  For example, we offer upgraded options to ‘semi-restore’ old hard wood windows which includes: removal & replacement of 100% sealants, full re-glazing, epoxy repairs to localized rotten wood, larger scale wood repairs (with upgraded wood species in top clear grades), and near coatings removals & added coats of paint.  If you want to hire seasoned professionals to do it right, give us a call!

Powerwashing, Degreasing & Industrial Cleaning

With years of experience behind us (to teach us what works & does so efficiently), Integrity specializes in all sorts of large scale cleaning projects. Through the years we’ve developed effective methods for: powerwashing (with chemical/solution injection), degreasing, compressed air blowing, chalking removal, mold/mildew cleaning, removal of stains, blocking of odors & deep stains, graffiti removal, etc.

Difficult Access Painting

As a true testament to our professionalism, our trained, certified, & specialized work force is well equipped in methods to access challenging high surfaces in a safe & efficient manner. Frankly stated, we are capable of handling many jobs other painting companies will not attempt (due to inexperience or lack of training on how to perform the task safely). Rest assured all personnel working on swing stages/suspended scaffolding or ropes/bosun’s chair will have passed courses & rigorous testing & are trained to meet OSHA CFR 1910.28 & City requirements. ANSI/SIA standard PPE Fall protection harnesses with shock absorbing lanyards are worn at all times attached to separately affixed lifelines. Top of the line equipment & rope is deployed including: PETZL, CMC, etc.

Caulking, Control Joint & Sealant Repair

Integrity specializes in complete sealant replacement and/or repairs offering long term life expectancy (20+ years) which typically include: complete cut out & removal of old sealant (with caulk cutting tools), removal & replacement of damaged and/or missing backer rod filler & installation of new neatly ‘tooled’ sealant. Seams & joints include: concrete to concrete, concrete to glass, concrete to metal, masonry to metal, “glazing” metal to glass, gaskets & many more. Sealants include: one & two part eurethanes, silicones, poly urea, etc. Manufacturers include: BASF, Dow, GE, Tremco, Soudal, etc. Assessments of existing sealants & estimates are free.

Apartments, Condominiums, Common Areas & Corridors

Integrity employees are neat, professional, well versed in working in occupied areas & clearly identified wearing Integrity apparel. Our large workforce enables us to tackle jobs of all sorts of sizes (both small and large scale) in a timely fashion. Projects include (but are not limited to) wallpaper removal, skim coat preparation, patching of damaged areas, installation of gypsum/chair rail/base mold, painting, textured coatings/popcorn ceilings & installation of wall coverings. Additionally we've worked with/for General Contractors & designers.

Sandblast & Powergrinding Coating Removal

Integrity is trained in effective and safe sandblasting methods & versed in SSPC standards for steel preparation to varying degrees: SSPC-SP7 “brush off,” SSPC-SP6 “commercial,” SSPC-SP10 “near white,” & SSPC-SP5 “white metal.”

Steel Balconies & Structures

Integrity is well equipped & specifically experienced to handle the unique challenges that come with balconies and other difficult to access structures. If a client wishes to have a contractor who is able to handle accessing the areas of the project completely from the outside (allowing no inside unit access & therefore avoiding the managerial nightmare of scheduling such) Integrity is able to comply. Also we’re versed in SSPC standards for steel preparation & have performed jobs to varying degrees: SSPC-SP1, SSPC-SP2, SSPC-SP3 & SSPC-SP11.
